The Urologic Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment Center focuses on the comprehensive management of common urologic cancers, including kidney, bladder, and prostate tumors. The key challenge in treating urologic tumors is balancing local tumor control with systemic therapy, while protecting critical physiological functions such as urinary function, especially postoperatively. The center relies on our hospital's MDT (multidisciplinary team) consultation system to comprehensively assess each patient's condition, tumor type, and overall health, providing a personalized treatment plan tailored to individual needs.
During the treatment process, the center offers multiple therapeutic options. For surgically resectable tumors, the center selects either open or minimally invasive surgical approaches based on tumor location and patient condition, in coordination with systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, ensuring effective integration of postoperative adjuvant therapy and recurrence risk management. For patients unsuitable for surgery, radiotherapy, minimally invasive interventional techniques, and other combined approaches are used to develop an optimized treatment strategy.
In radiotherapy, the center applies precise image-guided techniques and, based on individual patient differences and tumor location, strictly controls doses to treatment areas and critical organs to minimize damage to surrounding tissues. For unresectable tumors, local therapy is closely integrated with systemic treatment to improve therapeutic outcomes.
Beyond tumor control, the center places particular emphasis on patient quality of life, offering comprehensive supportive care. Common concerns such as urinary function, pain management, and nutritional support are addressed with individualized interventions to help patients navigate the treatment period more comfortably, minimize discomfort, and complete the entire treatment process as smoothly as possible.
