Breast Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment Center

The Breast Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment Center focuses on scenarios including preoperative assessment, postoperative adjuvant therapy, and management of recurrence or metastasis in breast cancer. Under the MDT framework, it integrates surgery, radiotherapy, systemic therapy, and rehabilitation support, emphasizing "attention to cardiopulmonary protection and long-term quality of life on the basis of standard treatment." For patients after breast-conserving surgery or mastectomy, the center can develop more tailored comprehensive plans based on pathological risk and staging, coordinating with reconstruction, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, with clearly defined timing and review points.

Radiotherapy is one of the key components of comprehensive breast cancer treatment. The center prioritizes heart and lung protection, particularly for left breast treatments, using breath-hold techniques such as DIBH to increase the distance between the heart and chest wall and reduce unnecessary radiation exposure. Image guidance is used to improve positioning consistency, ensuring that the radiation conforms closely to the target area. Depending on the patient's body type and target characteristics, conventional fractionation or hypofractionated regimens are evaluated to balance treatment efficiency and dose constraints.

Throughout the treatment process, the center conducts multidisciplinary discussions based on imaging and pathology assessments to clarify the sequence of surgery, systemic therapy, and radiotherapy, while continuously monitoring treatment response and review results, adjusting subsequent plans when necessary. Beyond tumor control, the center also focuses on postoperative upper limb function recovery, management of skin reactions and lymphedema risk, and common issues such as fatigue and sleep disturbances. Combined with rehabilitation and supportive therapy recommendations, this approach helps patients complete treatment more smoothly and return to daily life.

Leveraging the hospital's one-stop, multi-platform collaborative oncology system, we aim to implement standardized treatment in every assessment and step of execution, providing patients with a more continuous, reassuring, and sustainable care experience.
