Jinshazhou Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine

Jinshazhou Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine is a large-scale, non-profit, public tertiary general hospital approved by the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, integrating medical care, teaching, research, and prevention. It is a key public welfare project of Guangzhou, a designated hospital within the Guangzhou 120 emergency network, one of the first internet hospitals in Guangdong Province, a designated institution for Guangzhou medical insurance, work-related injury insurance, maternity insurance, and public medical services, as well as a designated hospital for direct settlement of out-of-province and cross-province medical insurance in Guangdong. The hospital has a relatively comprehensive service foundation in emergency transport, medical insurance settlement, and continuity of care.

The hospital is located at No. 1 Lichuan East Street, Jinshazhou, Baiyun District, Guangzhou. It has 1,500 inpatient beds, including 48 intensive care unit (ICU) beds, 31 modern laminar airflow operating rooms, among which 5 are Class 100 laminar airflow operating rooms, and 8 interventional operating rooms. The third-phase construction project plans to add 500 VIP inpatient rooms and a 60,000-square-meter comprehensive building, further enhancing high-quality inpatient services and supporting facilities, and better meeting diversified hospitalization needs and the coordination of diagnostic and treatment processes.

While improving infrastructure, the hospital continues to advance the development of key disciplinary platforms. The installed medical equipment has reached an internationally advanced level, and four major platforms have been established: an imaging examination platform, a tumor radiotherapy platform, a comprehensive oncology treatment platform, and a precision diagnostics platform. The coordinated operation of these four platforms connects examination, diagnosis, treatment, and reassessment processes, helping to reduce repetitive procedures and waiting times, and enabling patients to enter subsequent treatment pathways more promptly. The hospital will continue to introduce new equipment and technologies to support multidisciplinary discussions and treatment plan optimization.

At the same time, the hospital continuously promotes teaching, scientific research, and clinical studies. Through more standardized process management and continuously updated diagnostic and treatment concepts, it provides patients with more stable and sustainable medical services. The hospital has obtained National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) Drug Clinical Trial Institution (GCP) qualification. It serves as a master's and doctoral training base of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, the Chair Unit of the Guangzhou Anti-Cancer Association (GACA), the Vice-Chair Unit of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO), the Director Unit of the Radiological Surgery Training Base of the Chinese Ethnic Health Association, and the First Chair Unit of the Radiological Surgery Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Radiotherapy Branch. The hospital also undertakes multiple academic and industry development functions, plays an active role in oncology-related academic organizations and professional platforms, and continuously promotes the integration of clinical practice and scientific research translation.

In terms of talent recruitment and disciplinary development, the hospital adheres to the philosophy of "building a strong foundation to attract talent." Since its establishment, it has continuously introduced expert teams from China and abroad with extensive clinical and academic experience, gradually assembling a group of medical professionals with strong expertise in oncology, surgery, radiotherapy, and related fields. Relying on multidisciplinary collaboration and platform-based operations, the hospital has progressively formed specialized centers including an Oncology Medical Center, Nuclear Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Gallstone Disease Center, Blood Purification Center, Orthopedic Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Minimally Invasive Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Emergency and Critical Care Center, Rehabilitation Center, and Ophthalmology Center, promoting the coordinated development of its overall disciplinary system.

While focusing on medical quality and disciplinary development, the hospital actively fulfills its social responsibilities. It has played an active role in COVID-19 prevention and control and public health emergencies, and has long organized medical teams to serve communities and grassroots areas, conducting technical assistance, health education, and free medical consultations. These efforts have received broad recognition from government authorities and society. Looking ahead, Jinshazhou Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine will continue to uphold the principles of "integrity in hospital governance, strengthening the hospital through talent, and revitalizing the hospital through science and education," adhere to the integrated development of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, continuously improve its medical service system and disciplinary platforms, and strive to become an innovative comprehensive hospital with recognized influence both domestically and internationally.
