Intelligent CT --- Siemens CT SOMATOM go.Now

What is Siemens CT SOMATOM go.Now CT

Our hospital has introduced the Siemens CT SOMATOM go.Now, a high-end spiral CT scanner equipped with advanced technologies and broad clinical applications. It provides high-quality images at low radiation doses. The scanner can be widely applied in the diagnosis, follow-up, and treatment efficacy monitoring of various systemic diseases, particularly offering early diagnostic value for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, pulmonary disorders, abdominal tumors, and orthopedic conditions.

Studies have shown that low-dose spiral CT can more effectively detect smaller and earlier-stage lung cancers, significantly reducing lung cancer mortality in high-risk populations. Low-dose spiral CT is more sensitive than conventional chest radiography. Early studies found that the detection rate of stage I lung cancer by CT is six times higher than that of chest X-rays, while overcoming the insensitivity of X-rays to non-calcified small nodules, allowing detection of lesions smaller than 5 mm in diameter.

Furthermore, low-dose spiral CT examinations are non-invasive and rapid. Under current technical conditions, a patient can complete a chest scan within a few seconds of breath-holding, with a radiation dose of approximately 1 mSv, equivalent to the annual natural environmental radiation exposure. Due to the differences in pulmonary and other tissue structures, which contain more air and lower density, very low radiation doses are sufficient to produce satisfactory images.

Core Features and Advantages

16-row 32-slice configuration A 16-row 32-slice CT system enabling whole-body scanning applications, including 3D reconstruction, orthopedic screening, and pulmonary screening.

High spatial resolution Spatial resolution reaches 14.5 LP/cm with a minimum slice thickness of 0.6 mm, allowing clear detection of small lesions and fine organ structures.

Low-dose technology Equipped with Siemens' latest low-dose technology, filtering low-energy rays to achieve CT image quality at the dose of a chest X-ray, ensuring the safety of patients and medical staff.

Handheld operation system Unique industry design with tablet and remote control operation; allows close patient interaction during routine use and remote operation from a separate room during infection control, combining safety and efficiency.

Integrated camera Real-time monitoring of patient status to detect positional changes or allergic reactions, preventing scan failure caused by movement and ensuring the safest possible scanning experience.

ALPHA 3D reconstruction Standardized reconstruction using organ-specific models without manual intervention, providing accurate, objective, and reproducible results.

Lung nodule screening software Equipped with software for detecting small pulmonary nodules, automatically identifying suspicious nodules during reconstruction, significantly improving detection rates of micro-nodules.

5G remote application Integrated 5G remote control system allowing connection to expert hospitals for remote CT operation and scan protocol setup, with real-time image transmission.
