Professional Expertise:

One of the first specialists in China to use yttrium-90 to treat liver cancer. In August 2022, Dr. Cao successfully performed South China’s first precision yttrium-90 resin microsphere treatment for liver cancer and led the establishment of a dedicated center for yttrium-90 treatment of liver tumors. He specializes in yttrium-90 microsphere radioembolization for primary liver cancer, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, and liver metastases. Dr. Cao specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of liver tumors, perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (Klatskin tumor), liver cancer, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, liver metastases, pancreatic cancer, malignant hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors, metastatic liver cancer, gallstones, gallbladder polyps, liver cysts, and liver abscesses.
