Our hospital has introduced the Siemens Biograph mCT S(64) PET/CT, which integrates the advantages of the latest 52-ring high-definition PET scanner --- high sensitivity, high resolution, high speed, and wide field of view --- with all the functions of a 64-slice spiral CT. Compared with existing PET/CT systems, it offers four major advantages: a wide field of view and high-sensitivity PET acquisition reduce scanning time by more than one-third; reduced radionuclide doses combined with lower CT radiation substantially decrease overall patient exposure; ultra-high-definition image processing enhances resolution and improves image contrast, increasing the detectability of small lesions; and an expanded 78 cm bore significantly improves scanning efficiency and patient comfort. This PET/CT system enables earlier detection of lesions and more precise localization.
